Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes for Samsung Gear VR Review

There may only be a small number of games currently available for VR but there’s no better party game than “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes”. The game is currently available for PlayStation VR and is also playable on PC but each version of the game features the exact same game-play.

This party game is designed for two or more players where one player takes the role of bomb defuser while the other players must use the bomb manual to avoid killing the defuser.

As the bomb defuser, the player is placed in a room with a bomb that they need to defuse. Doing this requires the player to complete a variety of puzzles which are located on both sides of the bomb. The tricky part comes from the fact that the bomb defuser can’t see the bomb defusal manual. They need to describe what they see to the other players in the room.

Players with the rather long and complicated bomb defusal manual must quickly scan the document to locate the section for that type of puzzle. The player then needs to find the answer and direct the bomb defuser so they correctly complete that puzzle panel.

Bombs are formed of several different puzzle panels that players need to complete to stop the bomb from blowing up. However, the bomb works on a “three strikes and your out” system where three mistakes will cause the bomb to blow up prematurely. This adds a level of stress to the game and can result in some hilarious moments while playing the game. As to be expected, the game becomes more difficult as the players progress through the different levels and the harder levels are best played with a group of people.

“Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes” is a great party game focused around communication where players must work together is they want to successfully defuse the bombs.
