Contributing Articles

At Raging Gazebo, we believe in helping people and businesses. If you wish to get your name out there as a nerdy, geeky and/or gaming news journalist and/or opinion piece writer then we welcome your DONATED written contributions. However, note there is no guarantee that we will publish your work on the Raging Gazebo site, but our editors may work with you in order to improve your chances of your work being published on the Raging Gazebo site.

Contact & Submissions

Please email our editors your original donated work for the purpose of solely and only publishing that work onto the Raging Gazebo site at Website@RagingGazebo.com, within a Word or LibreOffice document. Please, also provide at least one image, as an attachment within the email, that will be used as a featured image of your work. If your submitted work was drafted from a combination of sources, please provide those sources with your work.

To provide proper credit to you of your work on the Raging Gazebo site, please also provide an optional short two line bio of yourself, with your submitted work and/or a back-link, if applicable. These two lines will be posted at the end of the posted article.

If it is desired that you do not want to take credit for your submitted work or if you want to use a pen-name accredited to your work then you must explicitly indicate this with your submitted work. (Please, verify that your optional pen-name is not trademarked.)

Lastly, our editors may “edit” your work, to suite the needs and publication requirements of the site. Please, do not take offense, if this occurs. You will still be accredited for the work, if desired.

Guidelines

By following the following guidelines will improve your chances of your material being published on the Raging Gazebo site.

All Articles

The Raging Gazebo site is a safe for work and family friendly site. Please reflect your work and topics with these two objectives, i.e. no cursing, derogative language and images, bullying, seductive language and images and etc.

ALL PROVIDED IMAGES AND VIDEOS MUST BE SAFE FOR COMMERCIAL USE BY UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONAL LAW. If you cannot prove your provided images and videos are safe then we cannot use your submitted work. If the images are obtained from another site, please provide the links to said images, as well.

Before drafting your work, please check the site and verify the work has not been covered.

Educational Pieces (“How-To” Pieces)

All educational pieces must have a minimum of 300 words. However, the pieces are preferred to have 1000-1500 words with five html headings and five images.

News Articles

All news articles must have a minimum length of 300 words and a maximum length of 500 words. News articles must cover events that are no older than a week old. All news articles must have a minimum of one source, but three is preferable and will increase your chances of publication.

Opinion Pieces

All opinion pieces must have a minimum length of 300 words and a maximum length of 500 words.

Promotional Pieces

If you are a representative backing a company and/or product, we do welcome a written piece, covering your company and/or product. However, we may charge for the publication of your work, if our editors approve of such publication.

All promotional pieces will end with “This promotion was sponsored by … for the intended purpose of … .”, to inform our audience the piece was a promotion. Also, the minimum length of a promotion must be 300 words.

Preview Pieces

All articles previewing media such as games, gaming consoles, movies and books, must be written before the release of the media to the general public. Preview pieces must have a minimum of a 1000 words, three html headings and a minimum of three images. However, preview pieces are preferred to have 1500 words, five html headings and five images. If the piece is covering an applicable media with a video trailer then it is desired the trailer or a link to the trailer is provided to our editors. Additionally, please provide sources for your preview.

Reviews

Media reviews such as games movies, gaming consoles, TV shows and books are handled by our team members. Unfortunately, media reviews that are donated are not accepted by the Raging Gazebo site, sorry.

However, we may accept physical product reviews, such as a review of the Luke Skywalker action figure from Star Wars The Last Jedi.

All review pieces must have a minimum of a 1000 words, three html headings and a minimum of three images. However, review pieces are preferred to have 1500 words, five html headings and five images. If the piece is covering an applicable product with a video trailer then it is desired the trailer or a link to the trailer is provided to our editors.

We ask that donated product reviews are not produced by the company, marketing or any form product’s development and manufacturing team.

Paid Work

Currently, Raging Gazebo LLC is not hiring paid site contributors. However, when we do those that have contribute donated written work to the site may be notified and may have an advantage over those that have not contribute donated work. We try to hire based on passion. If a writer has a passion for the topic, it shows in the work and makes the work more engaging.

As said before, we will be happy to provide a back-link to your site from any published work, approved by our editors.
