A Spook-tacular Surprise Update


In a tweet from Nintendo, Super Mario Odyssey received a brand-new update featuring a spooky zombie Halloween costume and stylish new filters.

Players can unlock the new costume in the now one year old Super Mario game in Switch by visiting the shop after the completion of the main storyline. The costume includes the zombie Mario headwear featuring a pale green skin, undead eyes and a hatchet plunged into the plumber’s head. While the outfit comes equipped with tattered overalls and other pieces of Mario’s clothing.

Three new camera filters are also added to the game in the latest update. A slick black and white manga filter, a tiled filter which almost makes the game represent a pixellated graphic style and dizzying kaleidoscope filter.

Switch owners can update their Super Mario Odyssey game starting today and receive the hauntingly festive costume and stylish filters to help bring an entirely different tone to the game.
