20 SNES games that need to be on the SNES Classic Edition
The NES Classic Edition was recently announced as being discontinued this year by Nintendo. This is bad news for nostalgic gamers but reports state that a SNES Classic Edition going to be replacing it. So it’s not all bad then. As the new mini console will be released later this year, it’s time to start thinking about what games will be pre-loaded on the device.
The classic SNES game Wild Guns recently received a remaster for the PlayStation 4 and a PC version is coming soon. It seems pretty likely that this game could be on the SNES Classic Edition. In addition to this, Konami has recently released a new Bomberman game. However, there are many classic SNES games which would be amazing to have on the upcoming mini console.
Here are our most wanted games
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Super Metroid
- Earthbound
- Super Mario World
- Donkey Kong Country
- Kirby Dream Land 3
- Star Fox
- F-Zero
- Contra III
- Chrono Trigger
- Final Fantasy VI
- Super Mario Kart
- Street Fighter 2
- Zombies Ate My Neighbors
- Tetris & Dr Mario
- Super Bomberman
- Super Double Dragon
- Harvest Moon
- Mortal Kombat 2
- Yoshi’s Island
While this are the games we really want to see on the SNES Classic Edition, there are a large number of classic games on this platform. Games such as Earthworm Jim, Mario Paint and Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts would also be great to see on the mini console. Of course there’s also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtles in Time which could be great for the mini console.
However, Nintendo might feel differently and the fully released console could have a very different list of games. We will provide you with updates as the situation evolves throughout the year.
